For an affordable budget, the Brin de Folie stands out for its marine qualities and habitability, notably with a large number of storage options. Its sail plan is particularly complete: the addition of a gennaker and a full batten mainsail has significantly improved its performance, both in light winds and in breezy conditions. It beaches perfectly on struts.
The current owners, the third since the boat's commissioning, have kept it for 24 years. Until 2021, the boat was stored on land in a shipyard year-round and was launched only for the summer period, in July and August, for coastal sailing with family of four between Charentes and Brittany.
The last mechanical overhaul was performed in the summer of 2024, including the replacement of the exhaust pipe and a complete cleaning of the heat exchanger. The last antifouling was done in July 2024.
